You are by the northeast shore of Lake Harriet, a few hundred feed into the Lake Harriet Rose Garden. There are two fountains here, The flowers are blooming, the sky is blue and kids are darting around the fountain. This is picture is especially vibrant because it was taken with a digital camera.

Though this fountain is located at the Rose Garden, it is actually The Gateway Fountain. It formerlly sat in front of the 1913 Gateway Pavillion in downtown Miineapolis, at the juncture of Hennepin & Nicollet Avenues, until Unban renewal cleared the area in late 50's and early 60's. The other fountain is original to the Rose Garden site. -FYI
