My first job was in this theater as an usher from 1958 to 1960 while I was in high school. It was owned by RKO at that time, owned by Howard Hughes as a tax write off and showed first run movies. I do recall a major heavy weight boxing match being televised here in 1960. I am glad the theater survived as being used for live performances.
