This is part of the May Day Parade, a community event organized by the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater. This is on Bloomington Avenue near 34th Street.

Most participants have creative costumes. The theater holds workshops in the weeks before the parade for kids to create costumes they can wear in the parade. A festival in Powderhorn Park follows the parade, where the theater performs with giant puppets.
