This is Minneapolis City Hall, viewed from a skyway over 3rd Ave South. The plaza on the right belongs to the Hennepin County Government Center. The building in shadow on the far right is the new county jail facility. 5th Street, where it runs in front of city hall, is now closed for light rail.

the last really GRAND old building downtown. and imagine, it used to be a shining red, with a shiny roof to match! but that was in 1906. at least the interior still shines!
