description
My brother, Marc, is laying on his side and using a wand attached to a vacuum. He has severe mucositis (raw and sore mucous membranes in the mouth and throat) that prevent him from swallowing normally.
He is recovering from a stem cell transplant procedure for lymphoma. Today his white count is 0.15 (normal is 3.2 - 9.8) and his absolute neutrophil count is zero.
