I just found the wedding certificate for my in-laws and they were married at St. Luke's Church in May, 1943. It is so wonderful to find a photo of this church - a place that was very important to them on their special wedding day. Thanks so much - you made my day!

I HAD THE WONDERFUL CHANCE OF BEEING BY FIRST TIME IN THE U.S.A. IN 1976, I PARTICIPATED IN AN EXCHANGE PROGRAM BETWEEN THE ST. PAUL OPEN SCHOOL AND THE "CENTRO ESCOLAR NINOS HEROES DE CHAPULTEPEC" FROM PUEBLA, MEXICO.
WHAT MAKES THIS PICTURE SO SPECIAL TO ME IS THAT I STAYED AN THE O'NEILS HOUSE IN PORTLAND 1049, WHICH IS THE STREET RIGHT BEHIND THE CHURCH OF ST. LUKE.
NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE 30 YEARS AWAY OF THOSE BEAUTIFUL DAYS AND I STILL GET CHILLS REMEMBERING MINNESOTA AND ALL OF ITS WONDERS INCLUDING ITS MARVELOUS PEOPLE.
