This is the Lake Harriet Bandshell, located on the northwest shore of Lake Harriet in southwest Minneapolis. There's no performance on the stage now, but there should be one later.

I'm not very fond of the color they just painted the bandshell and surrounding buildings near the lake.

It's so sad that they painted the buildings a tan color. It just took the life out of the buildings. The blue color it once was flowed so nicely between the sky and the lake.
Now they just need to add a DOCKERS logo.
Sorry - had to vent.

We are really mad about the bandshell being painted beige! It's not only the fact that it's a depressing color, but the fact that having a blue bandshell is really sort of a landmark. In all the murals and paintings and pictures around the city, in homes, and in storefronts it is depicted as blue! And that's all we have to say about that.

Driving past the tan version, I nearly had a head on collision as the building is now plain ugly. We just had a mayoral race - was this a platform item? If not, we need to start a "bring back the blue" movement!
