Rhonda and Eddie Raskolnikov were our close neighbors for years during the late 1970s, living on nearby Beard Ave. in a lovely cream and bourbon chalet. They used a similar "harvester" device to rid their enchanting water garden of lice and paw-paw eggs. As well as the (occasional) invasive beaver. Delightful, yet not without a certain danger.

This picture if of an Aquarius Systems aquatic weed harvester. They offer an environmentally sound method of controlling excessive plant grouth and nuisance vegetation in waterways.
Not only does the weed harvester cut the vegetation below the surface, but it also collects and stores the weeds on board. When the storage hold becomes full, the weed harvester returns to shore and unload.
