This high-rise is part of a complex on Cedar Avenue and Riverside. It's in the West Bank neighborhood. The complex used to be called Cedar Square, but I believe it's called Riverside Plaza now.

The architect Ralph Rapson designed this complex as well at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis.

I lived here for 3 yrs. It could be a cool building again, sad it's gotten so run down. Maybe a little paint would even help.

growing up, this building was referred to as 'the ghetto in the sky'. it was intedned to be a mixed income housing block, but pretty much turned into a ghetto. It could have been cool.

I got lost in this aera, I have never been so sceared in my life, it looked like hell they need to tear it down & help the people living there it is the ghetto for sure!Reminds me of somthing in a movie, i dont ever want to be anywhere near this place again.

Don't hate on Cedar aka riverside aka west bank. if you scared go back to suburbans, because this places doesn't need any help, the people are very self sufficient, they have business and there are no gangs. so stop you stupid lies.

This complex used to be nice--along time ago. Now, I just wait to see it on the news burning to the ground{too bad it's mostly concrete}.

I've lived, worked, cried, loved, & worked on my art here! For the past 30 best years of my life! Yeah....there may be some problems you can gripe about....but overall...I live in a beautiful clear shot to downtown 1 bedroom flat. The whole West Bank itself is just one of the best places Minneapolis has to offer. When I moved in here, this was the first apartment I was shown. I took one long look on that balcony....& I knew where my corner of the world was! Hey! This place is kinda like a 12in cast iron skillet. Get the right recipe of people, get the skillet seasoned proper, & the cornbread cooks just perfect.
I LOVE YA Minneapolis!!
