This is the U.S. Capital, located at the east end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. It is between Constitution and Independence Avenues, and where Pennsylvania and Maryland Avenues would intersect.
The capital is home to the legislative branch of the US government, with the meeting chambers of the Senate in the north wing and the House of Representatives in the south wing.
