In 2005, Baguio City was afflicted by meningococcemia disease, an acute disease caused by a gram negative bacteria, Neisseria meningitides. This is the reason why some residents of Baguio wear surgical mask for protection against the epidemic. The establishment at the background is a sing-along bar .
