You are standing on the east side of Hennepin Avenue looking northwest at the Masonic Temple, better known today as the Hennepin Center for the arts. The cross-street is 6th Street, and the block on the far left(mostly out of frame) is "block E".
The smaller, cream building on the right is the Shubert Theater. It was recently moved from it's former site on the next block down("block E"). This relocation was done to spare it from the development being planned for that block, although the plans aren't certain. links

I have the pleasure of working at Illusion Theater, which is on the top floor of the Hennepin Center for the Arts. It is a lovely building, surprisingly modern on the inside. It's unfortunate that the other two sides that you cannot see in this picture are plain brick.
