Al's Breakfast is a tiny diner, with a width of only 10 feet and only 14 stools. This counter-only seating restaurant has become a landmark in the town and is located at 14th Ave SE between 4th and 5th Streets SE, Dinkytown, Minneapolis. They do serve sumptuous pancakes but it's not a place for the claustrophobic!

Gopher students who have not afforded themselves the stupendously magnificent breakfasts here are totally UNAWARE of the meaning of a Minneapolis campus education.
Al's was introduced to me by "Kraut" Boettger of New Ulm in 1958, and we walked there from the Zeta Psi house at 1829 Univ. Ave. SE EVERY Saturday morning, to meet and greet and fill our guts. Al was phenomenal!
