This is the dock at Boom Island Park where the boats of the Paddleford Packet Boat Company launch public excursions from May to October. This view is facing southwest; the downtown skyline is visible in the background, on the opposite side of the Mississippi River.

    I love the perspective on this picture. One minor detail--these boats are the Anson Northrup (rear) and the Betsey Northrup (in the foreground.) also, it's spelled "Padelford."
    (sorry to be nitpicky, I used to work there)
