You are near the Walker Library, where "The Mall" ends at Hennepin Avenue S. This view is looking south over a plaza on the top of the library, which is mostly below ground. On the right are giant, steel letters that spell out "L-I-B-R-A-R-Y". At center frame is the marquee for the Uptown Theater. In the distance and to it's left is the marquee for Calhoun Square.

There are white canopies along the sidewalk on the left. They are a part of the Uptown Art Fair, which was going on at the time. Fair.
