This is a view of the downtown skyline from the U of M east bank campus. You are looking west from East River Road near Arlington Street.
Among the buildings in the skyline are the tip of the Foshay Tower(toward the left), the Hennepin County Government Center, the US Bank building(center), the Wells Fargo tower, Pillsbury Center(white tower), and the Fifth Street towers. At the bottom of the picture is the new Dinkytown Bikeway Connection, on top of a renovated railroad bridge. The second bridge is the 10th Avenue Bridge. links

Phredde Minneapolis Suburbs, Minnesota -- 2001-06-25
This picture really shows the beautiful side of Minneapolis. It may not be as big as the the other giants, but it has a special beauty that no other city can copy.

Hello Honey,
Just thought I'd give you a "head start" of what your new homeland will look like. This photo is unique, NOT only because it's a view of downtown Minneapolis, but it is also (nearly) the same view you will wake up to every morning (or afternoon, depending how late you sleep) when you look through our apartment window. Hope you will like it Honey.
