Hmmm, one of my favorites. To bad the building lost all of its beaux arts ornamentation in the 1930s. It's still on of the most interesting office buildings downtown with office windows that actually open. Hopefully they won't do any "improvments" to the old block.

i too wish the ornamentation had never been done away with... and there was a rather enjoyable restaurant called 'la cucaracha' (if i spelled that correctly) on the corner, which unfortunatly was closed due to too many drug deals going down in the bathrooms. they had a great midori margarita!!

I can remember that building in the 60's But it looked a little different then. I think somewhere on here they said it was on 6th. I think it was on 5th.

i worked here in the boiler room back in 1980. i'm suprised the building is still here, beautiful marble work through out the building.
